Sports tradition
The University's sports teams are known as the Razorbacks and they compete in NCAA Division I athletics. The University of Arkansas has over 20 different varsity sports teams and they compete in the Southeastern Conference.
There are several notable traditions, including "Calling the Hogs" when someone yells “Woooooo Pig Sooie” to rally support for their home team. The Razorback fans also yell “Razorbacks!” during games.
The University of Arkansas also has a “Walk of Champions” that honors the fans, former athletes, and coaches who have made significant contributions to university history.
